Repair and Maintenance

We specialise in the repair and maintenance of mechanical gear reducers and gearboxes. We work both from our own specialised facilities and at our clients’ premises.

We study and redesign for the modernisation or reworking of equipment, enhancing the original characteristics.

For years, we have been performing repairs and preventive maintenance for major companies in the mining, cement, iron and steel, rolling, petrochemical and renewable energy sectors, etc. We offer different solutions and processes, always adapting to our clients’ needs:

• Reception: once we receive the gear reducer or gearbox we perform an optical examination of the equipment and check its condition.
• Opening and verification of condition: of the gears, the position of the bearings and the shafts.
• Extraction: of bearings and gears, using a horizontal or vertical press that facilitates handling and assembly of the gears, bearings and shafts.
• Replacement with new gears: to insert the shaft into the wheel sprocket.
• Assembly: of moving parts inside the box.
• Verification: Before closing the gear reducer or gearbox, we check that the sprocket and wheel engage properly that that they make contact all along the teeth.
• Closing and painting: once the gear reducer or gearbox is closed, if the client so wishes we can apply an outer coat of paint in the colour of their choice.
